What are Cookies?

No, we haven’t gone mad.  We’re not referring to the lovely chocolate variety your mother makes. We’re talking about those tiny text files which get stored on your computer when you visit some websites.

What Cookies are on this website?

Cookie Name	Cookie Purpose
vscommerce	This is a session identifier cookie that disappears after the browser is closed. This is a unique ID that references the database entry holding information such as the basket contents, logged in status and other information.
VSCurrency	VSCurrency is an identifier that references the currency the prices are displayed in.
VSVatPrices	VSVATPrices is an identifier that references if prices are shown inclusive or exclusive of VAT.
VSCategoryGroup	VSCategoryGroup is an identifier that references the last top level category visited.
VSWishlistId and VSWishlistToken	This is an identifier that references the database entry holding the visitors wish list on the website when they are not logged in.
Google Analytics Cookies	Google Analytics cookies store non-personal information which is used to improve the website, see at which point customers abandoned the checkout process. affiliate_source	This cookie is set by affiliate websites such as Affiliate Window and Webgains, it allows the website to see which affiliate network referred the user.
vs_username & vs_password	These cookies are used to store the customers login credentials but only if the user has opted for the site to do so.
DoubleClick	The DoubleClick cookie is set by Google to limit the number of times that people see certain adverts on the internet. The DoubleClick cookie is also used for reporting purposes so that advertisers can see the effectiveness of their adverts.

Third Party Cookies

How to remove Cookies

Believe it or not, some people don’t like cookies (yes, we think they’re mad too) If you don’t want Cookies stored on your computer, you can easily remove them by following the simple steps for your browser below.

Internet Explorer (latest version)

·          Select the Tools menu and click Delete Browsing History.

·          Check the box next to Cookies. (Uncheck everything else if you want to remove only cookies).

·          Click Delete to remove all cookies stored.

Google Chrome (latest version)

• Click the wrench button in the upper-right corner of the Chrome window. Select Options and click Under the Hood.
• Under the Privacy section, click Content Settings. Then go to the Cookies section and click All cookies and site data.
• When the list of cookies appears, click the Remove All button to delete all cookies stored.

Firefox (latest version)

·          Select the Firefox menu. Go to Options and then click Options again.

·          Click the Privacy tab to bring up your user-privacy options.

·          Under the History, click the Remove Individual Cookies link.

·          At the bottom of the Cookies window that appears, click the Remove All Cookies button to delete all cookies.

Safari (latest version)

•  Click the Gears menu in the upper-right corner of the Safari window. Then select Reset Safari.
• Check the bottom box, labelled Remove all website data. (Uncheck everything else if you want to remove only cookies).
• Click the Reset button to eliminate all cookies.
