Here’s a novelty green gift from the Natural History Museum whose popularity is growing – literally! Simply sow the provided seeds, water the box and watch your plant grow fertilized by poo fertilizer. The box is full of dung collected from UK zoos and safari parks that have been treated to remove germs and odours.
Plant your poo. when it’s bigger, plant it out in your garden.
In the wild, these animals eat a range of plants and fruit. The seeds are then distributed in their dung, which provides an ideal nutrient-rich environment for plants to grow.

This was purchased as a part of a Christmas gift order for hubby and was delivered in good time by the postman who struggled along a snowed in icy road to get here! It was well packaged in plenty of protective bubble wrap and minus any damage from the postal system.
Initially, it's a smallish box containing a sealed bag of compost looking material (elephant poo) with separate seed pack. Slightly smaller than expected, but nicely packaged. The bio-degradable box is sleeved with a Natural History Museum logo wrapper giving some elephant poo information about how and where the poo is collected. Hopefully, the sunflower seeds will flourish over the next few weeks to be planted out for the Spring. A good, novel gift idea but I'd like to see a little bit more poo for my money. Will definitely be using this website in the future!
