Like the Chinese Lanterns or Thai Lanterns used in those countries’ celebrations, these Sky Lanterns are a beautiful and fascinating way to light up the sky that's becoming increasingly popular throughout the world for any kind of event. Flying Lanterns are traditionally known as "Khom Fay" or "Khom Loy" in China and have been used for nearly two thousand years. It was believed that wishes written on lanterns would rise up to the heavens and come true.

So, what are they and how do they work? Basically they're a large paper lantern made from flame-retardant, bio-degradable materials with a frame made from Bamboo, a wood that is quickly replenished. All you do is light the wick suspended beneath and in about thirty seconds the lantern will be filled with hot air; then all you do is watch them soar. Stand by for an amazing visual display!

They are safe to use, however with anything involving a naked flame caution must be exercised at all times and therefore it's advisable to follow instructions on the pack very carefully.
