The razor uses a Gillette Mach 3 blades with refills easily obtained from any supermarket or high street pharmacist. The pure badger shaving brush is made from Best Badger hair (see below) and slots beautifully into the stand. Storing the brush upside down when not in use prevents water draining into handle which reduces the performance of the brush.

"Best Badger" hair is generally regarded as the benchmark standard of shaving brush manufacturers. The hair is harvested from the majority of the pelt. Colour is generally darker although individual hairs may vary between shades of brown and grey. It will produce a luxurious lather when used with a good quality shaving cream or soap.
