Pokémon VIP Club – Online Releases

Over the past two years, we have been proud to stock Pokémon cards, and the enthusiasm and loyalty shown by our customers both in store and online has been truly remarkable.

 

However, our online releases have presented a number of significant challenges. We have seen a substantial increase in bot traffic, automated orders, and the use of VPNs to gain early access to products. As a result, we have been exploring a fairer, more secure way to continue making new Pokémon releases available online.

 

 

Introducing the Menkind Pokémon VIP Club

We are pleased to announce that we are trialling the Pokémon VIP Club - an exclusive online access programme for our most loyal customers. Members of the club will receive exclusive access to new Pokémon releases online. To take advantage of this, members simply need to be signed into their Menkind account on the relevant release date. We will send a notification email in advance of each release, confirming which products are being made available, along with the date and time they will go live. Please note that stock remains limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

How the Club Works

For this initial trial, we have personally invited a select group of loyal customers who hold a registered Menkind account and have previously purchased Pokémon products from us. All customers included in this first trial have already been contacted directly.

We will not be expanding membership during the trial period. Should we decide to open the club to additional customers following the trial, we will share further details here.

 

In-Store Availability

Select Pokémon releases will continue to be available across our stores as normal, subject to availability and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note: the release on Friday 19th June 2026 will only be available in stores.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I know if I've been accepted into the Pokémon VIP Club?
 We will contact you directly via email if you have been invited to join the Club. If you have not received an invitation, you have not yet been added to this trial. We will share updates here if and when membership is opened up further.

2. Does being a member guarantee I can buy a new release?
 No — membership gives you exclusive access to purchase eligible products, but it does not reserve stock or guarantee availability. Products are sold on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last, so we recommend being ready at the confirmed release time.

3. How many units can I buy per release?
 Unless otherwise stated, purchases are limited to one unit per product, per member, per household, per release. Orders that exceed this limit may be cancelled. This policy is in place to ensure as many members as possible have a fair chance to purchase.

4. What happens if I don't receive the release notification email?
 We recommend keeping your account details and email address up to date, as release information will be sent in advance of each drop. You also need to remain subscribed. Please also check your spam or junk folder. Please note that failure to receive a notification does not entitle you to reserved stock, priority access, or compensation.

5. Can my membership be cancelled, and why might that happen?
 Yes. Menkind reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership at any time. This includes where we have reason to believe that products are being purchased for resale, purchase limits have been circumvented, automated tools or bots have been used, or membership details have been shared with others. We ask all members to act in the spirit of fair access for everyone.

About the Club
The Pokémon VIP Club is a free membership programme operated by Menkind that provides members with access to selected Pokémon Trading Card releases and related communications.
Menkind reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the Club at any time.

 

Membership
   - Membership is free.
   - Applicants must be aged 18 or over.
   - Membership applications are subject to approval by Menkind.
   - Membership is limited to one account per person.
   - Membership is personal and may not be transferred or shared.
   - Menkind reserves the right to refuse, suspend or terminate membership at any time.

 

Access to Releases
   - Selected Pokémon Trading Card products may only be available to Pokémon VIP Club members.
   - Membership provides access to purchase eligible products but does not guarantee availability.
   - Membership does not reserve stock or guarantee the ability to place an order.
   - Products are sold on a first come, first served basis while stocks last.
   - Menkind reserves the right to determine which products are included in the Club.

 

Purchase Limits
   - Unless otherwise stated, purchases are limited to one unit per product, per member, per household, per release.
   - Menkind reserves the right to amend purchase limits at any time.
   - Orders placed in breach of purchase limits may be cancelled.

 

Fair Use
Menkind reserves the right to cancel orders, remove members from the Club or restrict future purchases where it reasonably believes that:
   - Products are being purchased for resale.
   - Multiple accounts have been created.
   - Membership details have been shared.
   - Purchase limits have been circumvented.
   - Automated purchasing tools, bots or scripts have been used.
   - Fraudulent, abusive or suspicious activity has occurred.
   - These Terms & Conditions have been breached.

 

Communications
   - Members may receive emails relating to product launches, restocks and Club updates.
   - Menkind does not guarantee delivery or receipt of any email notification.
   - Members are responsible for ensuring their contact details remain accurate and up to date.
   - Failure to receive a notification does not entitle a member to reserved stock, priority access or compensation.

 

Product Availability
   - Release dates, launch times and availability are subject to change without notice.
   - Menkind may delay, amend or cancel releases at any time.
   - Stock allocations may be changed by suppliers or licensors.
   - Menkind reserves the right to reduce quantities, amend allocations or cancel orders where stock availability changes after orders have been placed.
   - Menkind reserves the right to cancel or amend orders where pricing errors, stock discrepancies, overselling, technical issues or other operational errors occur.
   - Where an order is cancelled, any payment taken for affected products will be refunded to the original payment method.

 

Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Menkind shall not be liable for:
   - Product unavailability.
   - Website outages or interruptions.
   - Failed email delivery.
   - Missed purchasing opportunities.
   - Delayed or cancelled releases.
   - Supplier allocation changes.
   - Technical issues beyond its reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

 

Privacy
Personal information will be processed in accordance with the Menkind Privacy Policy.

 

General
   - Club membership has no cash value.
   - Club membership does not create a contractual right to purchase any product.
   - Menkind's Website Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy continue to apply.
   - These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
