It looks like a stylish block of wood, but with a click of your fingers or a tap on the bedside table, it lights up instantly to reveal the time, date and temperature, one after the other.

It's a great way of saving power and great too for using as an alarm clock by the bedside, with no bright lights to interrupt your sleep.

For anyone who prefers a more conventional clock, it can display the time permanently at the click of a switch.

You can set up to three alarms, selecting from normal (seven day) and weekday (five day) modes.

And for anyone who struggles to get out of bed at the first sound of their alarm, there's a snooze button that goes off every five minutes.

The time can be shown in 12 or 24-hour format and the temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit.

It's great for holidays, even if you are camping, as it can be powered by three AAA batteries (not supplied) or an AC/DC adaptor using the supplied USB cable.
