For 1000’s of years, the Japanese culture has been creating Maneki-Neko cats (that’s lucky cats to you and me) as a way to bring good luck and fortune upon the house. Golden cats are well known for bringing extreme amounts of money into the household which seems like the perfect reason to get one!
Decorated with the usual Lucky Cat attire consisting of a red collar with a bell and bib, the original Japanese cat beckons to everyone who passes by. There are many different beliefs as to which raised paw means what, but apparently our lucky cat will bring you money!
This kitsch item holds onto a golden coin called a Koban which is said to be worth ten thousand ryo! We’re not sure how much that works out as in English money but we won’t say no to more kitty cash.
Not only will this Lucky Cat bring you wealth and good fortune, but its also a celebrity in its own right, appearing on BBC1's 'The Apprentice'!
Disclaimer: if Lucky Cat does not bring you wealth and good fortune, you have obviously upset the Lucky Cat Gods, and RED5 cannot be held responsible.
