For a kickoff, you can drive the Mini using the app-control familiar from other Sphero devices of various calibres, manoeuvring it through a wide variety of objects - from the furniture of your house to the mini cones and bowling pins that come with the Mini. Even cooler, the Mini has a Face Drive mode: this allows you to control the Mini using your facial expressions. Yes, that’s right: suddenly, you might have a reason to pull silly faces.

For those of you more inclined to enjoy the app’s various games, this baby comes equipped with a host of fun activities - a wide variety of different games are available: from flights through space to wrecking bricks. The app updates frequently, meaning there’ll always be new games to play when you want to try something new. And if you’re feeling extra smart, you can try out the Edu app to program Mini with JavaScript.
