RED5 Mega Glider

Ever thrown a paper plane only to watch it dive-bomb a couple of metres away from you? Did it leave you wishing that non-propelled planes could get a little more lift? This is a lightweight, aerodynamically-designed glider that is designed to stay in the air for, like, way longer than a paper plane… or any other plane without an engine strapped to it! It has a massive wing-span of over 1.5 metres, letting it stay in the sky so long that you’ll wonder if it’s actually decided to declare the sky its new home and start having its mail forwarded there.

This glider can be thrown by hand. But, it comes with a launch system that makes use of hooks that you stick into the ground and attach a rubber and nylon cable to. Use this catapult-style launcher and you can get flights of over 150 metres! Now, we’re not saying that you can’t do that by hand, but at least this way you’re less likely to separate your shoulder trying.

This glider uses aerodynamics alone, so it needs absolutely no batteries. And, it comes with a set of decals that let you customise it. So, you can give everyone a design to marvel at as they’re watching your glider soar through the air for ages!
